Cod Steak Tomato Balti

Tomatoes are still in season? Then this is definitely a must cook dish to make the most of out of them.

This curry is really quick and easy using frozen cod steaks that are available in every supermarket freezer — which makes it very economical and I'm using common spices that you wont have any problem finding - probably already in you store cupboard!

By poaching cod directly in the spices and tomato sauce it stays beautifully moist and it takes about 10 minutes prep time and 20 minutes to cook. So it's like a night off for me :-)

What is not to love about that one pan cook? Add rice or roti & dinner is served!

This dish is so delicately spiced, so as not to over power the delicate fish. It tastes amazing! A perfect bed partner to basmati rice paired with fried red onions and cumin seeds — which is also easy to make! A perfect Home away!

De-ice the cod steaks

Now your sauce is ready, place the frozen cod steaks into a little water to remove the excess ice - just so we minimise the amount of water being added.
